I just got a MMC64 from C64 reloaded...

I backed up the recovery disk w/ version V1.0, then jumped right on to V1.01...

It seems to lock up using BIOS V1.01 writing a .d64 to disk now. Tomorrow I will flash back to BIOS V1.0 and give it another try.

Anyone else had the same experience w/ BIOS V1.01?

I downgraded to the BIOS V1.0 and use the built in writer and everythings dandy.

I'll probobly flash back up to V1.01 I think the problem is the faster d64plgin092_writer.

Yes, the problem is version .92 I have had the same problems. The difference between .92 and the builtin writer is basically speed. Since I have been using a Commodore so long speed for me is not that much of a factor.

Just as 65coupei6 stated, the problem is V92 of the d64 writer. I'm now using BIOS V1.01 and the built in writer... No problem.

And as they so perfectly put it... As a Commodore user I am used to waiting.

This is still the coolest doodad yet. I love mine.

yep works fine for me had no problems writing to disk its very fast. I like the way that it stops working if your disk is write protected thats cool

I inquired about the disk writing problems with the fast writer plugin at the Protovision forum at lemon64.com. Kratznagel himself responded, and here is the explanation:

@jasongins: Sorry, my D64 Writer Plugin doesn't support NTSC machines at all. Sad Because of the different timing, the built-in Plushdos works only on PAL devices.

If somebody sends me an NTSC compatible block-writing routine, I will implement it.
