Even thou it is not mentioned here before, you might already know: there exists an standalone Webbrowser for the RR-net http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=30400 Its based on httpload (from DocBacardi) and its written by soci/singular Crew The only problem is: I can't get it working.... anyone in here (doc?) getting this really good looking tool working? masterhit 31.03.06: It seems that DNS disolving is not working. If you enter the IP Adress it works. |

Haven't tried it myself yet. But if it works with the IP there's clearly a problem with the DNS resolving. Do you have a firewall or something else that may be blocking it (UDP) ? |

hi hannenz, to use this tool you have to have the following network settings: netmak: 192.168.0.* dns and gate at 192.168.0.1 if your network does not fit in this needs, you have to assamble the code yourself with your configuration- -- no pc or anything else needed. its a standalone browser. --- |

You plug the other end of the cable into your network hub. |

Sorry for bringing up an old subject. But, how can I edit the code to use a different dns/gate and netmask? |

If the binary is not packed, simply use a hex-editor or monitor and do a search-and-replace on 192.168.0.1 .. well.. you will have to rearrange the order of the numbers of course. |
