Hi there, Is there anyway CODENET could be split out as a standalone application ? The reason being is that IDE64s choke when there is an Action Replay (alike) device plugged into the C64 with them, and I'd really like to be able to have the RR-NET plugged into the IDE64 and run CODENET as a program when ever it is required. Or even better if CODENET was put into the IDE64 ROM Thanks! Mark |

Yeah.. this question has been up many times over the past years. It shouldn't be too hard to simply lift it out of the TFR ROM. IIRC somebody already hacked up a CPX ROM and put Codenet in it. Question is, who's got the skills, time and energy to do it, especially as Graham probably already has some development binaries ready on some dusty old harddrive.... |

With ideservd over USB, you practically have a way to do this already. You can cross-assemble on the PC, then quickly load the output on the C64 over USB. And if you set it up so your output .prg starts with "!", you can load it on the C64 with a single keystroke (F1). |

Works really good with ideservd over ethernet too. However you have to wait for the nic led to turn on after reset, an extra annoying second... |
