Post subject:  Ethernet card for the User Port

I have a simple question.

How hard would it be to make a Ethernet card for the USER PORT of the c64.

Would it be possible to use the vic-1011a driver somehow.

Have Fun Shane

Well, there do exist Serial to Ethernet bridges with built in telnet applications and such. Provided they support RAW socket connections it could be used with a standard serial adapter in the user port to connect to a C= BBS or a normal telnet server for that matter. Could probably be used for transfering files on the internet too if the bridge allows ftp or http via, for instance, zmodem. I doubt it will support the punter protocol though :)
