I have a simple question. How hard would it be to make a Ethernet card for the USER PORT of the c64. Would it be possible to use the vic-1011a driver somehow. Have Fun Shane |

Well, there do exist Serial to Ethernet bridges with built in telnet applications and such. Provided they support RAW socket connections it could be used with a standard serial adapter in the user port to connect to a C= BBS or a normal telnet server for that matter. Could probably be used for transfering files on the internet too if the bridge allows ftp or http via, for instance, zmodem. I doubt it will support the punter protocol though |
