ok here is a strange 1 have a look at http://www.c64web.com

if i place anymore code in the html it will not display it.
look at the source you will notice that its not displaying all
html code this is why the </body is on the main page.

any idea if this is a limitation in contiki this is in the compiled
webserver.prg html if i create a html file on the drive i can place
as much code as i like but running from the floopy is slow and
when a few hit it at the same time well its dame slow..

also contiki webserver will not work from any other type of commodore drive.
even a cmd hard drive in full 1541 mode ?????.

has anyone got it to work from a Ramlink the webserver.?

except a 1571 of coarse any ideas why..

It runs from a 1581, atleast in vice, and i got contiki to run from mmc64 using retro replay and the kernal loader in the .dfi plugin. However contiki crashed once I had configured it to use rrnet.
I havent checked into it too much but it seemed to me that contiki only used the routines from cc65's c64.lib to read data from the drive. So either those dont work with other drives, or its because of something contiki does. Either way it would need some more investigation to find out

Btw. How do you make the webserver read the files from disk instead of memory?

Have a look at the source on the web page.

http://c64web.com/8/C64MODS.HTML

This link is written into the webserver.prg default web page.

then just create a file with the html in it.

p.s /9/ will not work only /8/ hmmm

If only i was a programmer .....

If someone could make contiki run from a 1581 i would gladly donate a RRNET for all that is needed to compile a working contiki webserver off a 1581, MMC64 or CMD hard drive using a RRNet card.

Thats the challenge do what you love and get a RRNET for your troubles
at the same time.!!!. :)

And of coarse it will remain on this site accessible to all.

But have you tried running contiki from a 1581 as device 8? It seems to work just fine in vice, I havent tried it on the real thing since my only 1581 died a few years ago.

Ok
contiki v1.0 runs great but will not load from any other type of drive
except a 1541 it gets to starting config then nothing plug a 1541 in and it will continue loading.

contiki v1.2-devel1 runs form a 1581 and loads up the webserver but
when you point your browser to the ip address it drops out of contiki and
into basic.

any ideas

what version are you using contiki 1.2devel webserver will not work with a

it loads the webserver.prg but will not accept connections.

Ah ok, I was wondering why i could get the telnet server to work but not the webserver :D

I've built contiki-1.2-devel1 and patched the c64.lib from cc65 so it uses dreamload to open files and read data. But I seem to have messed up something, since contiki tries to delete memory that is in use. If I remove that piece of code I can get contiki running from mmc64, including starting the applications. Only problem is it quickly runs out of memory =)
But even if I fix that theres still the problem with the webserver which isnt responding.

How did you make your homepage for contiki, did you do a complete build of an older version of contiki, or replace some files on the disk?

I got the contiki-1.1-rc0 source here, but the webserver part wont compile

because i cant get contiki 1.2 webserver to work and i dont have the source for contiki 1.1 i had to edit the webserver.prg file directly where the html is.

i have compiled contiki 1.2 but have not been able to compile contiki v1.1

do you use linux or windows to compile i have used linux "debian".

If you can fix the webserver in contiki 1.2 there is a RRNet in it for you.

I did some changes to the 1.1 source so it will compile, and I finally got to see the webserver in action =)
The problem is, in 1.2 contiki uses the drive friendly code from cc65 to read files but the webserver doesnt work.
In 1.1 the webserver works, but contiki uses its own drive routines that only work with 1541.

So the options are: Fix the webserver in 1.2 ( I have no idea how) or replace the drive routines in 1.1
