Hello all, I have a C128D with jiffydos installed; I just owned a C128DCR and I'd like to install jiffydos too but it seems that I need to "join" C64 & C128 kernal files ? How can I do that ? Many thanks for you help |

Not sure what you mean by "joining" kernal files. IIRC there's supposed to be a particular JD version for every model out there (C128/D/DCR/etc). No need to whip up something by your own afaik. But if you still decide to do it (you're a Retrohacker after all), the ROM "file" is just a sequential file, so a binary concatenation is the answer. If you're on *nix then: Code: cat file1 file2 [file3 .. ] > rom.bin On Windows: Code: copy file1+file2[+file3 .. ] rom.bin /b Hope this helps! |

Hello, Thanks for your answer....I just repair my DCR (booting issue) so now, I will be able to add jiffydos. I just need the sequence: do you the order of the file ? (kernel64 +kernal 128.... ?) Regards |

Kris wrote: I just need the sequence: do you the order of the file ? (kernel64 +kernal 128.... ?) Not sure, but if memory serves it's the C128 kernal first followed by c64 basic + kernal. |
