I have question regarding MMC Replay and Silver Sufert. According to this http://www.vesalia.de/e_hardware.htm#mmcreplaymodules it's not possible to make both cards work together but I wonder what is the real reason? Different clockport implementation? Something else?

Secondly I'm looking for info regarding null modem cables - the ones that are easily to get today are DB9 type while SS has DB25. Does it work with DB9 cables?

Thanks for feedback

the reason they "do not work work together" is the physical connection. if you manage to plug the silversurfer to the mmcr, it will work just fine.

nullmodem info: http://hitmen.c02.at/files/hardware/RS232_Cable.txt (variation 4 is what you want)

Thanks for feedback. Why the hell they left the cable with male connector? I'm trying to get the proper cable for few days already. BTW: is anyone using it with USB-RS converter? I had bad expirences with those in the past but I would really like to use SilverSurfer with my notebook.

because thats what a nullmodem cable is like =P (as opposed to a normal serial cable)

Thanks Groepaz,
Still trying to find that damn cable - db9 are easier to spot. The funny thing is that I used to have a lot of these in golden years of Laplink. Wish I could find one today ;)
