There's no link giving you the posts since your last visit. View new posts doesn't seem to be the same - for example now I can see two unread forums on the front page (Q&A and Network), but view new posts only shows me the post in Q&A. |

I use http://retrohackers.com/forum/search.php?search_id=newposts to view threads with new posts and then I click on the icon to the right of the username in the "LAST POST" column on the right to view the new posts. Perhaps doing the same will work for you. |

Although I never use that feature. Must admin it's pretty neat though

crap.. now I read all posts and can't test this  what I'm really missing is a "latest forum posts" page like on csdb. |

Actually i'm reworking the entire phpBB... I just have to understand how this d**n template system is working..... Grrr! I hate php!!

That's weird! It's supposed to show you new posts since your last visit and it seems to work for me. I don't use it much though. Is it never showing any new posts for you, MagerValp? |

Right now it shows one new, "Contiki 2.1 : File I/O". It does not show the new post in this thread, or "Anyone interested in a RR-net/TFE compatible Network cart ?" and "Contiki 2.1 released" in Network. |

That sounds like a bug. I don't know if this info is cookie-based or if phpBB keeps it in the database. I'd guess for the latter. What happens if you log out after each visit? (presuming you have checked 'always keep me logged in') |

I'll try logging out and deleting the cookie. Maybe that fixes it. |

Guess what! It happened to me too now! The forum list shows that I've got unread post but 'view new posts' is empty. Clearly a bug!? |
