There's quite many programs that support the REU, such as TASM, packers, crunchers, disk copy, etc. Even a few games support it and there's at least one demo that supports REU as well :)

The demo disks have Ramdos which you can hack up easily, turns REU into a ramdisk. Nick Coplin has some info about putting Ramdos ROM into the REU.

Novaterm uses the REU as a streaming buffer which was good for quickly downloading files, then you could copy them to disk when offline. Novaterm also speeds up the soft80 driver with REU DMA.

The Write Stuff can load its dictionary into REU for fast spellcheck. Infocom games can be loaded into REU which makes them much better to play.

A bit releated question: originally REU's came with different power supply. Can somebody tell me it's specs?

IIRC it's just a C128 PSU with a C64 plug - the specs are identical.
